I could of had a V-Mort

The picture above is not the next Mort (although it would be a fun game to see how many of these characters you can name). This is a promo picture from the next weekly comic from DC called Countdown. I'm not sure what it is, but I really love gigantic group shots that you can look at for hours trying to figure out who they are.

Last week's Mort (which Joanna was very nice not to spoil for everyone) is indeed Hellion, a member of the New Mutants. His real name is Julian Keller and he is a powerful telekinetic. The New X-Men is a pretty good read, by the way, although it has been a rough year for the team. You might want to pick up an issue now before there are no more members still alive.
Alright, here is the new Mort. Honestly, not a difficult one, so I expect a little detail on this one.

I realized no one has answered Alan's question. There is a magazine called Wizard that prints articles about comic books, interviews with artists & writers. (It used to be really good. Now it's just a giant commercial for the lastest big thing.) They used to have a column called "Mort of the Month" where they featured a really obscure and often very, very lame comic character and offered multiple choice answers for you to guess who it was. It was a fun game and sad commentary on comic book fans at the same time.

When Paul started up the whole blog thing, he thankfully revised the Mort game for us.
